Corridors in Civil 3D are often touted as the most powerful tool used for Grading and Analysis. We all see the benefits of them, but often don’t understand them?? This class will take you from Basic to Advanced. We will also will also touch on SAC (Autodesk, Subassembly Composer) and the power of making your own Sub assemblies. In addition, bring all your Corridor related questions with you. In this class we will cover the following:  
  • Subassemblies – Creation and Editing.
  • Understanding Subassembly controls.
  • Corridor – Creation and Editing.
  • Dealing with Corridor Regions.
  • How to work with Surface, Width and Elevation targets.
  • Creating Surfaces with Corridors.
  • Setting Corridor Surface data types and codes.
  • Earthwork Volumes.
  • How to pull Material Volumes without creating a single surface.
  • Working with Code Set Styles.
  • Auxiliary Corridors – How to use one corridor to benefit another.
  • Using Section Editor and Parameter Editor (overrides).
  • Working with Multiple Baselines.
  • Subassembly Composer – brief introduction, pdf reference will be included.
  • Using Corridor and Grading objects to complement each other.
  • Kens tips and tricks (don’t make it harder than it needs to be).
  Also included with the class are Ken’s custom Subassemblies (PKT files).   Prerequisites: Good familiarity is required with Civil 3d. Knowledge of Prospector Tab, Settings tab and some experience with Grading is preferred. This is an Intermediate to Advanced class.
