Vehicle Tracking

Vehicle Tracking

Vehicle Tracking is a Transportation Analysis program for analyzing Swept Paths (Vehicle movement), Parking Stall Layout and Roundabout Design.  The Roundabout Design Tool is often touted as the most powerful tool used in Civil 3D.  The Software enables Engineers who are working on Transportation or Site design projects to predictably evaluate vehicle movements.  In this class we will cover the following:
  • Vehicle Tracking Settings.
  • Swept Path Analysis.
  • New Vehicle Creation based on a data sheet.
  • Auto Drive Arc vs. Manual Drive.
  • Picking an Alignment to direct your Swept Paths.
  • The Report Wizard (we would know these as Styles).
  • Animating your Swept Path.
  • Vertical Clearance for vehicles.
  • Parking Tools – create jurisdictional specific Parking Stalls.
  • Creating Parking Rows.
  • Editing your Parking Rows and Stalls.
  • Creating Roundabouts per USFHA Standards
  • Editing the Roundabout.
Also included with the class are the City of Aurora Parking Standards, and a Peirce Fire Pumper. Prerequisites: Good familiarity with Civil 3d.  Knowledge of Prospector Tab, Settings tab.  This is a fundamentals level class.
